Writer & Preacher

Liz Cooledge Jenkins

Liz Cooledge Jenkins is a writer, preacher, and former college campus minister who holds degrees from Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa, BS in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Cognitive Science) and Fuller Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity). Her first book, Nice Churchy Patriarchy: Reclaiming Women’s Humanity from Evangelicalism, released from Apocryphile Press in December 2023 and spent some time as the Amazon #1 bestseller in Women’s Spirituality. Liz writes regularly on Substack (Growing Into Kinship) and on Instagram as @postevangelicalprayers, where she has shared over 200 original prayers, with an eye toward sloughing off toxic beliefs and learning new ways of praying that affirm the humanity, agency, and wisdom of all people. She is currently working on a book reflecting on prayer from a post-evangelical perspective, to be published by Broadleaf Books in Spring 2027. Liz lives in the Seattle area with her spouse and their black cat Athena.
