In light of the current struggles in our nation, including the pandemic and the tumult of the election and transition seasons, we want to make clear our commitment to hold the Biden Administration accountable, especially for the concerns we think are closest to Jesus’ heart. We asked our friends and partners to join us in calling the new administration to focus on what matters most. Here’s a sampling of what justice-loving Christians are keen to see addressed in President Biden’s first few months:
For @potus first #100days, I’m hoping for: 1.Major funds to help our country engage in racial justice work and 2.Actions that decrease the gap between haves/have-nots in wealth, job access, healthcare and housing. What are your 2-3 hopes? @RevJenButler @eugenecho?@ChristianSocAct pic.twitter.com/K4mfdyDstG

For @POTUS first #100days I hope for:
More appointments of leaders of diverse thoughts and backgrounds who aren’t afraid to disagree and think carefully about the impact of policies on historically silenced or disenfranchised. Oh wait… https://t.co/Z8lIrgtftC pic.twitter.com/rK52h5J810

Would add democratic reforms to ensure all voters are heard and big money/greed do not control us; protect God’s creation and bring jobs to those who must transition; court appointments not vested in “originalism” (let’s go forward not back to Jim Crow and no women’s suffrage!)
