Justice Issues

Explore the justice issues shaping our communities and discover how Christian faith calls us to pursue a world where all people can flourish.

Throughout the biblical narrative, God is characterized as being a God of justice and righteousness. God’s people are invited to participate in the work of bringing full flourishing to all people. Standing with, caring for and identifying with vulnerable people — widows and orphans, immigrants and prisoners, the powerless and the poor — are hallmarks of Christian faithfulness.

At Christians for Social Action, our justice issues are focused areas where faith and justice intersect. Each one invites us to explore how Christian faith calls us to stand with the vulnerable, seek justice, and live with gospel-rooted hope. These aren’t just causes — they are invitations to go deeper, to cultivate practices that fuel a lifelong commitment to justice.

Each of these issues also embodies the values of community, peacemaking, and holistic ministry. They help us discern what faithful presence looks like in the world today and where the Spirit may be calling us to act.

Here, you’ll find issues that matter deeply to God and to us: places where the Church can show up, where theology meets lived experience, and where we are invited to join in God’s work of restoration and hope.

Justice Is Part of the Whole Gospel

The biblical vision of justice extends beyond individual acts of compassion. It calls us to consider the relationships, institutions, and systems that shape our shared lives, particularly for those who have been pushed to the margins.

These justice issues are not separate from one another. Poverty intersects with racism. Environmental harm affects public health. Immigration raises questions about belonging, dignity, and the common good. Understanding these connections helps us see more fully what it means to pursue God’s shalom: a world marked by justice, peace, wholeness, and flourishing for all.

We invite you to explore these issues, engage the questions they raise, and consider what Christian faithfulness might require of us individually and together.
